Jim Winston Bohl, born in October, 1942 in Lompoc, Calif., passed away on March 24, 2015.



Jim graduated from Lompoc High School in 1961. He lettered in Football, Track and Basketball all four years. After graduating from high school, he went on to New Mexico State University where he graduated in 1967. He was an All-American in sports and scholastics in high school and college as well as being inducted into the Hall of Fame. Jim Winston Bohl, born in October, 1942 in Lompoc, Calif., passed away on March 24, 2015.



Jim graduated from Lompoc High School in 1961. He lettered in Football, Track and Basketball all four years. After graduating from high school, he went on to New Mexico State University where he graduated in 1967. He was an All-American in sports and scholastics in high school and college as well as being inducted into the Hall of Fame. In 1966 and 1967, he was 3rd in the Nation with the NCAA for rushing and scoring. At the peak of his amazing athletic career, he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles in 1967. He also coached at McCloud, Dos Pueblos, Atascadero, New Mexico State University, Kansas, Deland and Florida.



He was also a self employed business owner for 37 years, owning many Baskin-Robbins Franchises.



He is survived by his mother, Carole Bohl; his loving wife, LaVerne Bohl; his daughter, Heather Moffitt; son, Chuck Bohl, and his grandchildren: Drake, Kasey and Kendall. He is preceded in death by his beloved father Charles Bohl.



He was a loving Husband, Son, Father and Grandfather who will be missed more than words can express. He was our Super Hero and our biggest cheerleader. The day he left for home, a part of us went with him.
