Beatrice “Bee” Glaser made it to 102 1/4 years old!! She led a long and

fruitful life and passed away early Tuesday morning, August 1. She was

residing at Paradise Valley Care, an assisted living facility in Atascadero

California.

"Bee" was born in Amesbury Massachusetts, the fourth child of five sisters

and was the last surviving sibling. Her parents were of French Canadian

descent and as a child she spoke French. She remained in New England

until her 20’s when she went to El Paso, Texas to visit her sister and

brother-in-law. She became employed at the army base in El Paso and

there she met her future husband, Gordon. After three months of dating

they were wed. (They celebrated 60 years of marriage before Gordon

passed away.)

After Gordon’s military stint they both moved to San Luis Obispo County

and remained in Atascadero until the Lord took them home. “Bee” had 2

children. She is pre-deceased by her son Brian and her husband Gordon.

She is survived by her daughter Suzanne and grandchildren Kara and

Lindsey and many nieces and nephews on both coasts and many

extended family that she loved.

“Bee” loved to travel and did so. She enjoyed church activities, golfing,

playing bridge, dancing and many bar-be-ques, card games and camping

with close friends. She stayed active throughout her later years and always

kept a positive attitude. She is remembered for her smile, light

heartedness and praying for others.
